Well, today wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but it turns out the rest of the week is going to be much worse. =P
Since I’ve got so much stuff planned for this week, I’m going to put off figuring what to review for a bit, and instead I’m going to try and find some more interesting links to add to my page. I’ve already got a few that I want to check out a little bit more, and then I’ll post them up for everyone else.
It’s kind of a cheater’s way out, but I still don’t know what to move on to, and even if I did, I don’t think I’ll be up for putting in the work to be able to review it. Of course, I’m still practicing my Kanji, and I hope to get another language exchange partner soon (been 17 days since I last got a reply from my current one).
I think I should also try to get myself off of this schedule soon. I mean, staying up until the sun comes out all the time is kind of sad. =P Alright, I’m heading off to bed before it gets much later. おやすみなさい！ =D

Well, I was gonna sit here and try to come up with something entertaining for everyone, but that just wouldn’t be my style. ;P So, instead I’m just gonna type out something quickly, as I think of it, and hope that you enjoy it anyway. =P
Well, I’ve got a busy, but delicious, day ahead of me tomorrow. If you haven’t noticed by now, I like to treat myself to enjoyable meals on the days that I have a lot to get done. Course, I try to make sure every meal is enjoyable, but things don’t always turn out as planned. =P
And now, as I’m prone to do lately, since I have nothing to talk about, I shall give you a cute video! Ladies and gentlemen, I present, Turtle Eating a Banana!
Well, that’s about all I’ve got. I shouldn’t stay up much longer, but hopefully I’ll come up with something more entertaining for tomorrow night. =P おやすみなさい！ =D

Wow. I’m actually pretty surprised. Today was not only my highest number of visitors in one day, but 45 of you read my Rosetta Stone review today.
Well, now that my shock is out of the way, I just posted my Tuttle Kanji Cards review. I know I said I’d get it up earlier today, but I ended up being busier than I thought. About 30 minutes after getting up it was into the shower, and then out the door to get a lot of stuff done. But, I made myself sit here and add the review, because it wouldn’t be right to not put up a complete review. =P
Well, I didn’t get a chance to write up an ad today. I could probably put in some work before going to sleep, but that’s the sun, and I’m pretty tired anyway. =P My only real news for today (other than adding a review and the absurdly high number of hits I got today) is that I placed an order for Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection.
It’s not exactly a new release or anything like that, but I loved my Genesis back in the day, and I have no doubt that I’m going to be getting an absurd (I seem to like that word tonight =P) amount of playtime out of it. It helps that I’ve actually never played through the original Phantasy Star games, which alone will add up to around 80 hours (or, so I’ve heard).
Alright, I’m heading off. While my post isn’t the most interesting, I’m hoping to use my review as an excuse to not have to entertain you anymore tonight. =P おやすみなさい！ =D

Sorry about that. I’ve actually got it complete, but it’s on another computer that would be a pain to try and get the file off of right now. I will put it up tomorrow, and I’ll add it early in the day, rather than waiting until I’m just about to head off to sleep.
I don’t have too much in the way of Japanese news to add, but I’ve sent off an e-mail to another potential language exchange partner, so hopefully that’ll work out. I actually haven’t heard from my current partner in 14 days, but this isn’t the first time she’s done that. This is why I think I definitely need more than one. =P
My day hasn’t been very Japanese focused, but I ended up having a lot of fun anyway. =P I’m very big on E-Sports and I finally got to see who won the Starcraft 2 HDH invitational today. For anyone that’s interested, it’s a tournament that got started by two popular commentators from Youtube. They managed to get an official sponsor and started up their own tournament. If you want to see the matches go to Youtube and type hdstarcraft or huskystarcraft into the search box. The actual competition is spread out across both of their channels, and when they recorded them they were doing live streams.
Alright, all that aside, I’m actually going to be heading off to bed soon. Before I do that, I’m going to spend a little while working on a new ad to put up. Since I’m finally starting to learn Kanji, I really want to find some way of buffing up my vocabulary, and so far having only one pen-pal hasn’t been enough. =P So… おやすみなさい！ =D

It’s currently going through the “post production” phase and I should have it up some time tomorrow. =D See? I don’t always lie about working on these things. =P
It’s not as long as my Rosetta Stone review, but I think I managed to cover it pretty well. Course, now I’m officially out of language learning material to review. Sure, I have things like the flashcard program I’m currently using, but I haven’t really found anything else that I needed to buy, so I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to do next.
I’m thinking I’ll start digging through free Internet language learning courses and review those for people. They’ll either be considerably below my level, so I’ll tear through them easily, or I might actually find something that’ll be useful to me while I’m doing it. =P
Well, either way, I’m gonna have to come up with something pretty soon, I can’t leave you all hanging. I do have an interesting book that I purchased that isn’t really about learning Japanese, but I might review that next. It’s called Making Sense of Japanese, What the Textbooks Don’t Tell You by Jay Rubin. It’s actually a pretty interesting read with a lot of little bits of information in it. Still, I’ve never done a book review before, and I’m not entirely sure how I would go about writing such a thing.
Well, another problem for another day. =P I am once again very tired as I write this to you, but I must persevere in times such as these so that I don’t become lazy and give up on my language learning, as I’m prone to do. =P おやすみなさい！ =D
May 26, 2010
Well, I have officially discovered the best search that has lead to my page EVER! As it turns out, you’ll find my page if you search for “erin’s challenge can’t speak japanese”. =P I don’t know where I show up on such a search, but I couldn’t help but find it amusing. =D
Ah well, I actually didn’t manage to get much done today. I kind of slept in rather late, and then I spent about 4 hours arguing with someone, so I didn’t manage to get much done. I’ve done some Kanji/Vocabulary practice, but that’s about it.
But, I remembered something about myself today. I love to argue, it’s part of my very nature. Something about proving myself right, and knowing that there’s nothing they can do about it, is just terribly fun. I don’t consider myself a particularly evil person (after-all, I love penguins =P), so it must just be a desire for conflict. That or I just like talking so much, that I can’t help but love arguing too.
I have to admit, I do love language. Nothing too specific mind you, I just love everything that can be done with a language! I tend to be a bit more… robust with my word usage than most (as I’m sure you’ve noticed). I can’t help it, I always find it extremely entertaining to find new, interesting ways of stringing together a sentence. Guess that’s why I’ve always wanted to learn another langauge, imagine how much fun it would be to do that in two different languages at once! =P
Well, since the sun is telling me to sleep (we’re on speaking terms), I think I’ll take its advice and run along. おやすみなさい！ =D
May 24, 2010
You know what’s kind of sad? I’m still awake. =P Ah well, I didn’t let it stop me from doing things like study my Japanese today, but it’s shifting me over to a normal-ish daytime schedule! =O
I didn’t work on the review today, but that’s only because I didn’t really feel up to it. Still, I should be able to put in some time with it tomorrow, I might even be able to finish it. Course, I should really spend some time looking around to see if they have anything like examples, or possibly images I could use for the review.
Alright, this one is going to be very short, as I am very tired. So, since I don’t want to leave you hanging, I shall provide you with another cute video. =D
This also happens to link to the channel of one of my favorite video game reviewers. =P
Now, let’s just hope that’s enough to carry you into tomorrow. おやすみなさい！ =D
