I still seem to be having some trouble with it. It just had to stop my lessons in their tracks, didn’t it. =\
Well, the good news is that I should have everything fixed and working by the end of tomorrow. That doesn’t really help me move on tonight, but I guess I’m sort of stuck reviewing again for one more day.
The worst thing is, with all that’s happened with my computer, I haven’t actually looked further into a pen-pal. Once I get it up and running again, I’ll get back to work on my microphone, I still think it’ll be the best way to progress with my lessons at this point.
I guess I’m off to bed. Hopefully I’ll have better news tomorrow night. =P おやすみなさい (Oyasumi nasai!) =D

You know, when I write up these posts and tell you that I decided to review my old lessons, I really just mean that I’m using the workbooks (specifically the tests inside them), my flashcards, and my various other books. I don’t actually watch an episode of Yan more than once.
Well, after finally getting my computer running again yesterday, I decided I’d just review my old lessons. Now, I had done my last lesson on the computer I was borrowing in the previous days, so I didn’t really notice my new problem.
Well, in an attempt to load up my new lesson tonight (at an admittedly horribly late time of night), I discovered that none of my audio codecs are working with my new on-board sound card (which, of course, makes it so my lesson is unusable). =\ I’m not really sure what’s causing this (as everything else seems to be getting sound just fine), but I’m afraid it’s going to have to wait until tomorrow to be fixed (I’m hoping this will be far simpler than it seems once I’ve had some sleep).
So, despite my best efforts (okay, tired and rather poor efforts =P), I only reviewed my lessons tonight. These things tend to happen when you swap out most of your internal hardware. I’m honestly rather surprised at how little I’ve had to fiddle with.
Well, it’s late (again). I know, you’d think I’d have learned my lesson about how convenient and nice it is to have covered my lessons earlier in the day. =P おやすみなさい (Oyasumi nasai!) =D

Yes, believe it or not, after just two days my computer parts have arrived! =D It took longer than it should have, but (for the most part) my computer is fully functional!
However, I regret to inform you that I did not move on in my Japanese lessons today. I know that I should have, but exhausted doesn’t begin to describe how I feel right now. Course, it doesn’t help that I’ve now stayed up way too late, but we’re just going to ignore that fact. =P
Besides, I’m not exactly looking forward to Yan and the Japanese People ending. I know that it’s another one of those milestones in my language learning, but I’ll be sad to see them go. I’m still rather sad at the fact that Erin’s Challenge doesn’t seem to
even be usable *cough* work for my purposes. =P
Well, it’s getting late. おやすみなさい (Oyasumi nasai!) =D

I’m running out of new lessons! =O
Well, I unfortunately don’t have much in the way of news. I’ve played a little farther in FFXIII, but without my computer working, most of the additional material that I used to reinforce my Japanese is kind of out of reach. The good news is that it’ll only take a few more days.
If there is one bright side to all of this it’s that I’m getting my Japanese lessons done at a reasonable time. I have a bad habit of putting things off for too long, so it’s good for me. =P
Alright, I’m off. Here’s hoping I’ll have some more interesting updates in a few days! =D おやすみなさい (Oyasumi nasai!) =D

Since the computer has been abandoned in favor of American Idol, I decided it would be a good time to move on in my lesson. I have placed the order for my new computer parts, so it shouldn’t take too long for that stuff to arrive.
I’m sadly nearing the end with Yan-san. Just 4 more episodes and I’ll be switching to other methods. I guess I’ll have to move on to Rosetta Stone. I do enjoy it, but there’s just something nicer about the sort of “immersion” provided by Yan that I just don’t get from it. I know they pride themselves on it using an immersion method, but it’s really lacking in the live conversation speed. Hopefully I’ll manage to get that through some sort of voice over IP.
On a side note, I was planning on linking to another blog today (I mentioned it in a previous post), but there seems to be some sort of user password thing in place right now. I’ll end up adding the link if I see that come down at some point.
Alright, looks like my time is starting to run out, so I’m off for the evening. Have fun! =D

I’ve got a pounding headache. They always seem to hit at the worst times. Well, despite my headache I did end up reviewing again tonight. I felt like I really should move on (especially since I can answer all of the quizzes without missing a beat, even with a headache), but I didn’t really feel up for a 30 minute video in the state I’m in.
Well, at least these things tend to pass pretty quickly, so I’ll try to make up for it tomorrow (if possible). Hopefully once my computer is up and running again I’ll be able to setup my microphone and really make up for lost time. Ah well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
I’m off to go crawl into bed and sleep this thing off. Have fun! おやすみなさい (Oyasumi nasai!) =D

They say the first step is to admit you have one, so I figured I’d start there. Today I went to add some memory to my computer. Promptly following this, my video card/motherboard decided to that it just didn’t want to function anymore. I say video card/motherboard because I’m lacking in alternate parts to fully test my theory.
Well, in the end it doesn’t matter too much anyway, my entire setup was too old to be able to replace either of them. Looks like I get to start fresh. Now, unfortunately that means that I’m going to be borrowing this computer for my Japanese lessons and to keep updating this page, but I’m not gonna have much time to do any extra work on my Japanese.
Despite the loss of my computer, I have managed to review my lessons. Besides, this will give my some extra time to play through my Playstation 2 games and put in some extra time with FFXIII.
Alright, I’m gonna try to keep this short tonight. おやすみなさい (Oyasumi nasai!) =D
P.S. Well, I know I said I’d add the new link Squire Starsquid, but given my current problem, I’m not going to be getting around to that tonight. I’ll try to add it some time tomorrow.
